Dorothy’s Shoes: Take me away to the fascinating world of Oz. A land of adventure , dreams and excitement. I’ve known these shoes for a lifetime finally saw the movie about a year ago. WOW! I’ve visited two locations known as the Land of Oz. One was illustrated in the Judy Garland version of the movie. But the first one was the creation in my own mind. Imagine, a little girl taken from her home to a wonderful foreign land, where she discovers her path with some newly acquired friends. I know this girl. We all know this girl in our own way. Welcome home Dorothy Gale.
Michel-Schlumberger Winery: Tornado: Is the best route to this winery. Cars work too. If you have the courage to take the most beautiful drive to arrive at a fantastical land, then it’s worth it! Up up and away we go. First we met our cast of characters, The Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and the Scarecrow. Instead of Flying Monkeys there were Baby Doll Sheep. The Wicked Witch had taken a Vacation for the Winter Olympics and in her place was a our lovely hostess Glinda.
Theme Parties, Cute Animals, Cast of characters, and a magical trip, this is the reason behind this pairing.
Dorothy Shoes are to Fantasy.
As Michel-Schlumberger is to Oz.

I still haven’t been to Michel-Schlumberger! New goal for 2010 – go to Oz!!!
Hurry hope on the Tornadoooooooo… or Click your heels 3 times.
Visiting Michel-Schlumberger is great. I’ve been there two times now. The first was Barrel Tasting in 2009, and I had a great tour with Judd and all of my California friends. Then, At the end of 2009, I visited with Daytime, and we did a TV segment on the winery. Gina, you can get a little visit by watching http://budurl.com/Sonoma … I’m sure you’ll want to get to the winery even more urgently then!
Cheers
Matt
I think you’re show is great! Thanks for posting it here – so people can find it! Dry Creek is a great valley for vines and the views!
We think we have a pretty magical place here. Thank you for one of the sweetest blog posts about a pretty amazing place. Come see us again.
Love it Anita! I think MS is a very magical place. I drive there an hour from Sonoma and as I exit on Dry Creek Rd. my heart starts to lighten and my troubles are washed away by the beauty of the valley. Talking and tasting with people just makes the perfect. Michel Schlumberger rocks!
Lisa, you were part of our wonderful experience. Funny and so full of life! Thanks!
oops…meant to say…makes for a perfect day!!!
Love reading your blog!! Girls rule!! : D
Love the comparison! Michel-Schlumberger is truly one of my happy places. Though I think of it more like Wonederland where they are all a bit mad.
